If you missed any talk about this in the mainstream media, or even in the homily this Sunday, fear not!! Fr. Larry Richards gives a stirring call for us to pray and fast in this critical period of time. (Listen to Father’s homily HERE).

In his homily, Father Richards recounts how, during his Holy Hour, God began to shout, “ENOUGH!! ENOUGH!! ENOUGH!!” This was in dealing with the Planned Parenthood reality. Father Richards goes on to say, “We stand up for what is right … when Planned Parenthood is selling baby parts and taking a half billion dollars of our tax payer’s money, when are you gonna get mad and say, ‘Enough! Enough!?!?’ … Could you imagine if men, who stopped being spiritual wimps … stood up and said, ‘Enough?!’ If the women who said ‘I just want to be like this,’ stood up and said, ‘Enough?!’ Some day we need to stand up to the power, like David did with Goliath, and say, ‘Enough!!'”

Father Richards then talks about when we meet God on Judgment Day. Are we going to say, “Well, it wasn’t my kids.” God will say, “No, they were mine.” Can we get away with saying we just wanted to get along with each other and not make waves and make sure everyone liked us? No!

So, what are we going to do? We start with prayer … especially the rosary. I was struck by Fr. Richard’s call to pray the rosary, especially as we are less then two weeks away from the National 54 Day Rosary Novena campaign. On the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption (August 15), thousands of people from around the nation and beyond, will be in prayer together for 54 days, leading up to the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7. With 8-10 more videos coming from the Center for Medical Progress, this national rosary prayer campaign could not be any more perfectly situated to provide the prayer support needed for this exposé on Planned Parenthood. Not to mention so many other things at stake in our world at this time.

Father Richards, rightly, calls us to fasting. It’s no secret that God has, time and again, demonstrated his pleasure toward those who look to intensify their appeals to His almighty power by adding fasting to their prayer.

“So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty” (Ezra 8:23).

“And the people of Nineveh believed God. They called for a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them … When God saw what they did … God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it” (Jonah 3:5,10)

Tomorrow (Monday, August 3) would be a great day to choose to fast, as the legislature will be voting whether or not to defund Planned Parenthood. It seems unlikely to make it’s way past our pro-abortion President’s desk, but “unlikely” is a word that God many times chooses to ignore.

It is time for us to say, “ENOUGH!!”
