TO MY BAND OF BROTHERS (ALL CATHOLIC MEN)

TO MY BAND OF BROTHERS (ALL CATHOLIC MEN)

You know what? I’m an old football player that grew up knocking heads with 3 brothers (who I love). Frankly, I am sick and tired of needing to hang my manhood out in the vestibule every time I go to Mass. So, I say to all my Catholic brothers …

When you and I go to Mass …

I don’t want to hold your hand, but I DO want to kneel alongside of you as a noble knight before Christ the King!

I don’t want to sit in little prayer circles, sharing our “feelings,” but I DO want to be with you as we gaze upward to the great miracle of our King being made present in that Holy of Holies.

I don’t want to join with you in seeing who can be the biggest slob, but I DO want to accept the challenge to approach the King in noble attire.

I don’t want you and I singing childish and effeminate show tunes any longer, but I DO want us to worship our King in the manly and beefy chant of our ancestors!

I don’t want you and I to receive our King like we’re grabbing a potato chip, but I DO want to kneel with you at the edge of heaven, knowing our dirt and germ stained hands are not fitting for receiving the King of Universe.

THE TIME IS NOW, MY BROTHERS!! 50 YEARS OF THIS EFFEMINATE WORSHIP  HAS GOT TO END!!
